Donate to Cowtown Boxer Rescue

We are a non profit organization and our group is made up of 100% volunteers. These are the amazing people that care for the abused, homeless, unwanted, and sick boxers that we take into the rescue. And only because they have deep love for the breed and believe they all deserve a second chance. Most of us have fostered or volunteered for other rescues and have decided to put our wisdom together and start our own. We rely solely on our adoptions, private donations, fundraisers and events to help fund all the medical treatments, training and all the other expenses that come with rehabilitation.

Do you ever wonder what your donations cover? Let's tell you a little about the process we follow when we bring a boxer into our shelter.

  1. Sometimes there are fees to actually pull a dog from shelters. It does not happen all the time when it comes to rescue, but we run into it occasionally.

  2. Second, all of our dogs will visit a vet for a complete physical examination. If the shelter cannot provide proof of vaccinations, each dog will get fully updated on required vaccinations.

  3. Many times, dogs come into rescue with health issues that need to be addressed - ranging from spay/neuter to heartworms. We will treat any dog diagnosed with health issues that are treatable.

  4. Dogs will receive heartworm preventative while in our care, and continue to see a vet if a medical issue arrives.

    • All vet paperwork is provided to the adoptive family for their records.
